Create Transfer

Description

The Create Transfer functionality of the Payments and Transfers Service allows you to transfer funds between TD Bank accounts, of the same currency, that have been registered on the service. You can register any of your company's TD Bank accounts as well as third party TD Bank accounts.

Accessing Create Transfer

To access the Create Transfer service simply click Payments and Transfers from the top menu and the Create Transfer page will display.

You must have Payments and Transfers right in order to access the Payments and Transfers menu.

How to Create a Same Currency Transfer

To create a Same Currency Transfer complete the following three steps:

Step 1 of 3 : Create

1. Select the From Account - where the money is coming from.  
2. Select the To Account, - where the money is going to.
3. Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
4. If desired, update the To Account description.  This description will appear on the To Account’s bank statement and when you view your transactions using the Balance Reporting service. 
5. If desired, update the From Account description.  This description will appear on the From Account’s bank statement and when you view transactions using the Balance Reporting service.
6. Click the Next button.

Tip: To save time you can create templates for your frequently used transfers.  You can do this by clicking the 'Save As Template' button, entering a name in the Template Name box and then clicking the Save button.  Once a template has been created you can prefill the Create Transfer page by selecting the Template Name from the dropdown and clicking the OK button.

Step 2 of 3 : Confirm

1. Review the details of the transfer.
2. Click Confirm.

Step 3 of 3 : Confirmation

1. Review your Confirmation.
2. Print the Confirmation if necessary.

Result: The transfer will be submitted to TD for processing if your company has not subscribed to authorization or authentication, otherwise the transfer will be available in the company’s Authorize grid.

Security/Filtering

• You can only make transfers between accounts to which you have been assigned access to in the Payments and Transfers Service. Refer to your Payments and Transfers User Profile for further details.
• The ability to create Same Currency transfers is governed by the type and limits of the accounts to which you have been assigned. Refer to your Payments and Transfers Company Profile, accounts grid which details the account type, and transfer limits for each account.
