Cheque Image

Description

Images of cheques, front and back, can be viewed using the Balance Reporting - Query function. The images are available for 90 days from the posting date and can be printed or saved.

Notes:

  1. A fee of $1.50 will be charged in Canadian dollars for each cheque image viewed. The Fee will appear on your next monthly Balance Reporting / Payments and Transfers billing statement.
  2. Cheque images are provided in an Adobe PDF format, allowing you to print or save the image in order to avoid an additional fee which will apply each time you view the image of the cheque.
  3. Images are not available for American Banking Association Format (e.g. Micro Access).
How to view a Cheque Image

To view a cheque image, perform the following steps:

Accessing the Query Function

To access the Query page, click Query from the Reporting sub-menu.

You must have Balance Reporting service rights in order to access the Reporting menu.

Find the Cheques

Step 1 of 2: Select Query Criteria

  1. Select the account(s) you wish to query from the Account Selection dropdown.
    Note: Only the first 25 accounts you have access to will be displayed in the dropdown. You can access additional accounts, if you have more than 25, by clicking the 'More Accounts' link.
  2. Select a date range from the dropdown. Note: If you would like to enter a custom date range, select 'User Defined' from the dropdown and then enter the dates into the From and To fields.
  3. Select the Transaction as query type.
  4. Click Next.
Step 2 of 2: Select Transaction Criteria
  1. Select the checkbox next to All Cheques.
  2. Click Next.
    Note: Although the above example describes using the 'All Cheques' filter option to display cheques, cheque images can be viewed from any query. For more information regarding available filter options, please review the Query section of our on-line help.
View the Cheque Image
  1. Locate the cheque you wish to view from the query results.
  2. Click the cheques hyperlinked Description.
  3. Review the Fee Disclaimer that opened in a new window.
  4. Click Continue.
Result: The image of the cheque, front and back, will be displayed in the new window.
