Reset User Password

Description

The Reset User Password feature allows you to reset Connect ID passwords for all users except the TD System Administrator.

Accessing Reset User Password

To access the Reset User Password function, simply click Reset User Password from the Administration sub-menu.

You must have the System Administrator right 'Ability to Reset Passwords' to access this page.

How to Reset Passwords:

Resetting Passwords is a five step process:

  1. Select the User from the Reset Password grid
  2. Enter a new password in the password field
  3. Enter the same password in the Confirm New User Password field
  4. Enter your password in the System Administrator password field
  5. Click OK

Security/Filtering

  1. The new password must be 8 characters in length, and cannot contain special characters (e.g. #,&,@) or repeated/sequential characters (e.g. aaaa1 or 1234abcd). The new password must be entered twice to verify the accuracy of the keying. For security reasons, the password is not displayed as it is entered. An asterisk will appear for each character typed. Your own password is also required to provide an additional level of security.
  2. If your company has selected the preference Approval Required for Administrative changes, the password will not be reset until the Reset User Password function is approved in the Approve Admin Changes page.
  3. The next time the user logs onto Web Business Banking, the system will prompt the user to change their password.
